this is what i invisioned when i read "the experiments of twilight sparkel".... celestias holy warriors come to kill twilight and they ned up ultimately failing tiwlight gets away but they cut rairity free ,give her cybernetics and have her hunt down and kill twilight!!! awsome!
Hm. Normally I avoid commenting on MLP-related things, but I actually really like what this represents; The most spoiled and superficial character [possibly in existence] having all her limbs melted off I found both personally satisfying and symbolically ironic. The middle panel, where she is shown being helplessly toted around in is actually a wonderful reflection of her character. Also relating natrually to Rarity's likeness to society's wealthy 1%, who are nothing on their own, and need everything done by the little people. The final panel actually shows her working for something, not just anything, but because this is all she can do to bring functionality unto herself again. She knows her limbs will never be the same. She's becoming imperfect, ugly and cold...but Bettering herself. Ultimately learning about suffering, labor, strife...Only to walk again, jaded with newfound individuality.
Rarity regularly works her tail off in her store, don't go around calling her names. She's a genuine self-made entrepreneur, her problem is her idolization of the upper classes, a form of false consciousness that will be swept away in the REVOLUTION! Ahem.
Incredible work, the original iconic style, the color, expressions, the razzled hair in the last panel of cybernetic evolution, just brilliant. I also really like the idea of the faded silhouette of a pony pushing the perambulator and the doctor with glasses in the background, for some reason the kinda tilted up head/up turned nose look is just awesome!
